Another good bye to a loved long term member of the GEA.

This time it is

Gwynfor William Rhys Evans
known to us as Gwyn, our proud Welsh friend who was loved by all.

The shock of his sudden death stays – so unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday night February 24th – due to a pulmonary embolism.

On July 23rd he would have turned 55. He left by far too early in his life. We will miss him immensely, his ever so kind personality, always with a smile on his face.
He was quite active in the GEA. In the early nineties he even served on our committee for 2 years, organized a regular event called „Pub-Crawls“, also visits to beer-gardens. More work intensive were his ski trips, some over weekends. All so much appreciated by our members.

At this time we do not know when and where he will find his final place of rest. Most likely Corona would prevent us from participating. Those of you who were Gwyn’s Facebook friends have the opportunity to share your memories in FB under „All Things Gwyn“.

Gwyn is survived by his mother, his older sister and his young son. Our sincere condolences to them. May good memories give them strength to relief their pain of loss.
