Munich's international private schools host charity event "Swim for Life" on September 10th, 2016 at the HVB Club Pool.
The school communities of Bavarian International School, Munich International School, Phorms and St. George's - The English International School as well as other volunteers plan to swim as relay teams as far as they can in one hour.
Together the volunteers, children as well as adults, aim to swim a target total of 250km and thus plan to raise €25,000 for refugee support groups and projects in Munich as well as at the European borders.

Swimming for a good cause
Louise Holland, board member of the Bavarian International School e.V., came up with the idea for the charity event after hearing about Syrian swimmer Ameer Mehtr, who swam six kilometres across the Aegean Sea from Turkey to Greece in 2015 in order to find shelter.

Join the sponsored swim either as a swimmer or a donor on the website www.swim-for-life.com and help the refugees!
